Re: What is the qualification required for IIT JEE?

Dear IIT-JEE aspirant,

IIT-JEE is one of the Toughest Engineering Entrance Exam that was earlier conducted jointly by IITs for admission to IITs all over India.

But now, IIT-JEE exam will not be commenced from next year and onwards.

It will be replaced by a fresh new pattern called JEE Mains and JEE Advanced Exam.

It would be effective from 2013 onwards.

Minimum Qualification required to be eligible for JEE Mains Exam is nearly similar to AIEEE Exam while for JEE Advanced Exam, it is as same as for IIT-JEE Exam.

Minimum Qualifications for JEE Mains Exam:

>> To be eligible for JEE Mains Exam, you must have passed 10+2 (PCM Stream) with at least 45% marks or above.

>> You will be given only 3 consecutive attempts to crack this exam.

>> Your earlier presence in AIEEE and IIT-JEE exam will be also counted if you have already appeared earlier.

>> Also, 40% weightage will be given to your 10+2 marks, so more board marks can improve your AIR in JEE Mains.

>> For more information, you can visit: www.jeemain.nic.in

Minimum Qualifications for JEE Advanced Exam:

>> To be eligible for JEE Advanced Exam, you must qualify JEE Mains Exam.

>> You must be under prescribed AIR as per your Category.
For Example- if you are in Category, then you must have AIR less than 74,250 in General Category.

>> For more information, you can visit: jee.iitd.ac.in
