You can apply for OTA(Officer Training Academy) of Indian Army through CDS(Combined Defence Services) exam and AFACT(Air Force Common Admission Test). Forms for both are out now as CDS II 2012 and AFACT II 2012. Last date to apply for CDS II 2012: 02/02/2012. Last date to apply for AFACT II 2012: 09/02/2012. AFCAT criteria:- By giving AFCAT Exam you can apply for the following posts:- I. Technical Branch II. Flying Branch III. Ground Duty Branch You should have a bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university to sit for this post. Your age should be between 19 to 28 years. AFCAT meanms Air Force Common Admission Test which is conducted twice a year in March and August. Officers of Flying brach are eligible for salary up to Rs 61,000. The requirements are You age should be between 19 to 23 years. You should be unmarried Graduation in BE/B.Tech with 60 per cent marks in all papers together. You must have passed 10+2 with Maths and Physics. If you earlier tried for the Pilot Aptitude Battery Test and failed then you are not eligible to apply. Similarly any Flight Cadet suspended from the flying training offered by Air Force is also not eligible to apply. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Your height should be 152cm with correlated weight (For Women) You will have to go through several medical tests by the Air Force Medical Authorities who will decide you fate on the basis of your performance. |
