Re: How to become an IPS officer after passing 10th exam? What should I do after passing 12th exam? To be associated with the IPS or the Indian Police Service, you must give the UPSC exam or the Civil Services exam. To crack this exam you must have thoroughly studied NCERT books and solved the previous year papers. Also you must be up to date with the latest happenings in the world especially Indian politics. |

You should download them and after every few days of study, try solving one of the sample papers. It will give to clear idea about what are the areas that need some work. Eligibility 1. Only Indian nationals are selected for Indian Police Service. 2. The qualifying course is bachelor degree. 3. No minimum percentage to meet in the course. 4. Lower age is 21 years while maximum age to appear is 30 years. 5. Upper age is extended to 33 years for OBC. 6. The upper age is extended to 35 years for SC/ST. Physical Requirements Male 1. Re: How to become an IPS officer after passing 10th exam? What should I do after passing 12th exam? Dear Anjaam, The acronym for IPS is Indian Police Services. First of all, I would like to tell you that you cannot appear for IPS examination before completing your graduation. The Indian Police Service is one of the three All India Services civil services of the Government of India. The IPS is not a law enforcement agency; rather it is a civil service in which officers are selected on the basis of professional merit as proven by competitive examinations, and to which all senior police officers are professionally identified. Police officers are employed by the police departments of respective states of India. The eligibility criteria required for the IPS examination are prescribed as below:- * Completion of graduation in any discipline from any recognized college or university. * Final year contenders are also eligible. * Age limit:- 21-30 yrs. * Age relaxation:- 3 yrs for OBC and 5 yrs for SC/ST contenders. * No. of attempts:- 4 for General, 7 for OBC and no limits for SC/ST contenders. * Nationality:- Indian. |
