well that depends on which region u wud choose.U might not get gud courses in top nits, but may get better course like electrical, machanical in non nits institutes. al d best. u mght get a 25000 rank in general category.
if u prefer only nits then minningg engg, chemical engg, biotechnology(i vud prefer biotechnology) are gud courses

The top ten NITs are:

National Institute of Technology, Warangal, Andhra Pradesh

National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu

National Institute of Technology, Surathkal, Mangalore, Karnataka

National Institute of Technology, Delhi

Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad, Uttar Pardesh

Malviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur, Rajasthan

National Institute of Technology, Calicut, Kerala

Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur, Maharashtra

National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, Haryana

National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, Orissa

Getting any of these NITs will be difficult for you because your obc rank is only average. Most NITs have few seats reserved through home state quota and you could have got a seat if your home state was Rajasthan, Kerela, or Orissa. Since your home state is UP, you wont get NIT Allahabad because the cut offs are relatively higher for it. I doubt if you will get any NIT on your AIR. You can get colleges such as:
IAMR College of Engineering, Meerut

Jodhpur National University, Jodhpur

Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phoole University, Jaipur

Tezpur University, Tezpur

Indian Institute of Carpet Technology, Bhadohi

how will the mains exam paper would be? I am very average boy . sir can u tell me which colleges will i get if scored 120 to 200 marks in NEW jee 2013 pattern mains exam to get into best nit university. i am obc candidate
