On what basis if the entrance taken? entrance examinations are conducted by the institutes so that they could judge the skills and knowledge of the candidates accordingly. the syllabus of this entrance examination are made in such a way that would judge the capability of the candidates to pursue the course. sometime it is not conducted by the institution itself rather by the government to give better opportunity to better candidates. there are hundred of students getting same percentage of marks thus entrance examination helps the institution to shortlist the best. in some institution interviews are also taken after short listing the candidates so that they could test the instantaneous application of knowledge and aptitude. |

To check the intelligence level and the knowledge of the students on that particular subject the college/university holds entrance examination. They conduct these exams so that they can get good candidates who does not jeopardize the name of the institution by doing bad results. Moreover, it is not only the university which decides regarding the entrance exams, the educations ministry has it in their norms for certain college/university. |
