Entrance exams which are held? please mention in which subject you want do phd in. you can check out university of every state . most of them offers phd. like : mumbai university , gujrat university, bangalore university. if you interest in social science subjects than you can try at tata institute of social science.(TISS ) TISS offers some excellent courses based on social science. it also offers phd . i hope this might help. mention the subject . we can help you more.
