-candidate must have completed the graduation from recognised university.

-final year candidates are also eligible.

-candidate must have 60% marks.

-age should be in between 21-30 years.

-for SC/ST 5 years relaxation is there and for OBC relaxation of 3 years.

-candidate must be indian.

SBI Clerk Exam Eligibility Criteria:

State Bank of India is the second largest leading public banking sectors in India and every year it conducts a variety of recruitment exams for various posts. One of them is the SBI Clerk Exam. To sit for this exam you need to fulfill certain eligibility criteria and they are as follows:

Educational Qualification:
  • The minimum qualification required is that you need to be a 12th pass out
  • You have to ensure minimum 60% of marks at 10+2 level.
  • Regular Diploma courses are also considered if their duration is not less than two years. 60% of marks needed in this case as well.
  • Graduates can also apply if they have the pass marks. You can do your graduation in any discipline.

Age Criteria:
  • You should not be less than 18 years of age when applying for this exam as that is the minimum age limit.
  • For general category candidates the upper age limit is 28 years.
  • There is age relaxation of 5 years for the SC/ST candidates.
  • For the OBC candidates there is age relaxation of 3 years.

Selection Procedure:
  • There is two stages or hurdles that you need to cross to finally get selected. They are: 1) Written Examination and 2) Personal Interview.
  • Only those candidates who manages to get the pass marks in the written examination will only be called for the personal interview session otherwise not. For reserved category candidates there is relaxation in the minimum qualifying marks to obtain.

Scheme of Examination:
  • The written examination is mainly objective type and there are five papers. You need to manage the passing marks in each of these papers. Questions will come from the following sections:
  • General Awareness
  • General English
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Reasoning Ability
  • Marketing Aptitude/Computer Knowledge
  • Except for the English paper the rest of the papers can be written either in English or Hindi. There is negative marking for each wrong answer. A maximum of 0.25 marks will be deducted from the original score for this.

Final Selection:
  • On the basis of the number of vacancies available you will be called for the personal interview session. There is 5% relaxation in the minimum marks to obtain in the written examination for the reserved category candidates.
  • A maximum of three people is generally called for one single post and the final decision is taken by considering the marks obtained both in the written exam and personal interview session.

SBI Syllabus and Paper Pattern for Clerk Vacancies 2012:

The Topics covers in the Multiple Choice question of the SBI Exam for Clerk 2012 is as Follow

a) Reasoning Ability
b) Quantitative Aptitude
c) General English
d) General Knowledge
e) Marketing Aptitude / Computer Knowledge

Out of all these the English is a Mandatory Subject and total time given for all the Subject is 140 minutes.The Candidate would attempt all the questions in that time period.But attempt carefully because there is also a negative marking for every wrong answer and it is 1/4 th for wrong answers.But note down one thing the if u want to qualify the SBI written exam then u would Pass all the Sections and attain min 40 % marks in all the sections.

If you have completed 10+2 with any stream from recognized board with above 60% marks then you are applicable for SBI CLERK Exam.

OR

Those candidate have completed Graduation from recognized university are applicable for SBI CLERK Exam.
