Dear Friend
All the information regarding Civil Services exam notification, date of exam, pattern, syllabus etc can be found on official UPSC website.
www.upsc.gov.in

The Civil services exam is conducted every year and it involves
Common Preliminary test.
Mains Exam (2 optional subject 2 paper for each, 2 general studies paper, language, english and essay).
Personal Interview.

The exam is presumed to be the toughest exam in India because of its impartiality and level of questions and a good balance over everything.
No doubt, if you want to crack it you just need to be the best in what you are studying.
Preliminary is objective so, writing style is no concern here. But in Mains your answers should be to the point with proper explanation. Useless things in your answers for making it larger is of no use. You need include facts and suitable thoughts in your answers.
