SBI Exam Details:

To sit for the SBI Clerk exam the minimum qualification required is a higher secondary examination passed out certificate. At 10+2 level you need to maintain minimum 60% of marks.

Even diploma holders can apply for this exam provided the diploma is a regular one whose duration is not less than two years and has been done from a recognized institution. Here also you need to score 60% of marks in aggregate.

If you have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university then also you can sit for this exam. For that reason you need to have the pass marks at graduation level as the minimum marks to obtain have not been mentioned.

Irrespective of what your category is, the minimum age limit to sit for this exam is 18 years. The upper age limit for the general category candidates is 28 years.

Age relaxation is there for the reserved category candidates. It is 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates and for OBC candidates there is relaxation of upto 3 years.

Selection Procedure for the exam includes: A) Written Examination and B) Personal Interview.

The exam pattern is generally objective and of class eleven and twelve standard. So if you are well versed with the syllabus of your board exam then you will face little problem when sitting for this exam.

Exam Pattern:



For every wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted from your original score. If you manage to get the qualifying marks or even better than that then you might be called for the personal interview session depending on the vacancies available. They call three persons maximum for one vacant post available.

If you have completed 10+2 with any stream from recognized board with above 60% marks then you are applicable for SBI CLERK Exam.


Those candidate have completed Graduation from recognized university are applicable for SBI CLERK Exam.

Your age should be in between 18 to 28 years old.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate.
