IES Stands for Indian Engineering Service examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Once in a year. If you have completed your Bachelor Engineering Degree course, then you are eligible to apply for IES Examination, But your engineering degree must be in CIVIL, MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, ELECTRONICS AND TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEERING. M.Sc Degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering are also applicable for IES Exam. The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs. IES Exam Date:- IES 2013 Notification: 16th March 2013 Last Date For Receipt of IES 2013 Applications: 15th April 2013 IES 2013 Exam DATE: 28th June 2013 I have attached the syllabus for IES exam of Civil Engineering department so please check it out. no there is no postponement in the exam conduction, generally the dates are fixed long time back and there is no way the exams are postponed unless and until there is some emergency or there is any malpractice in the setting of the exam like question paper leak, the upsc conducts the exam very meticulously and there is very less chance of postponement |

The upper age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice. A Degree in Engineering or equivalent. The candidate applying for the posts of Indian Naval Armament Service (Electronics Engineering Posts) and Engineer Group A in Wireless Planning & Coordination Wing/Monitoring Organisation can possess M Sc Degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject. Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for personality test. Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in notice. The candidates must apply in the Common Application Form of the Commission for its examinations, and that can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/ Post offices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/- only. Application Fee of Rs.100/- can be paid by way of Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from payment (OBC candidates required to pay full fee).
