Hello students, Educational qualifications for the civil services (IAS,IPS).
☆ you should be bachelor's degree from any recognised University and professional and technical qualifications recognised by the government are also eligible to apply.
You are eligible for IAS entrance....age limit- minimum 21 years and maximum 32 years old.....5 years relaxation for sc/st - 5 years...obc - 3 years....number of attempts- general candidate: 6 attempts, sc/st- no limit, obc- 9 attempts, physically handicapped: 9 attempts...

As you have completed your Graduation in Agriculture, you are eligible to apply for the selection procedure to become IAS Officer.

Here it is,
Civil Services Aptitude Test
Civil Services Main Exam
Interview

Civil Services Exam is being conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) once in a year.

This is the common written exam for the candidates to be placed in various civil services like
Indian Administrative Service
Indian Police Service
Indian Revenue Service

Here is the eligibility criteria required for the candidates to apply for this Exam.

One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university.

Candidates who are pursuing final year of Graduation are also eligible to apply for this Exam but they should be able to show the proof of passing in Graduation when they appear for Interview.

Age criteria :

Candidates of General category should be in the age group of 21-30 years.
Relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category.
Relaxation in upper age limit upto 5 years for the candidates of SC or ST category.

I suggest you to visit the official website of UPSC and apply for the civil services exam of this academic year.

I am happy to inform you that you are eligible for I.A.S exam after passing graduation in agriculture field from recognized university..

Age limit:-
For Open category:- 21-30 year
For OBC category:- 21-33 YEAR
For ST/SC category:- 21-37 year

Number of Attempts:-
For open category:- 4 attempts
For ST/SC category:- 7 attempts


CIVIL SERVICES (PRELIMINARY) EXAM., 2012
Date of notification:-04.02.2012
Last Date of receipt of form:- 05.03.2012(MONDAY)

You are eligible to apply once you complete the course in the above mentioned field. In order to become an IAS officer, one should attend the Civil services exam. This exam is conducted by the UPSC. Graduation in any discipline is the minimum eligibility required to attempt this exam. The age limit should be between 21 – 30 years. The number of attempts in case of general category candidates is 4. On clearing the written exam, the candidates will be called for an interview round which is the last round of selection.

Yeah you are eligible for the Civils exam

Agriculture Stream students too are showing their talent in this exam

The Qualification for this exam is same like all the exams conducted by UPSC under the section of CSE

i.e.,
The main basic eligibility criteria for Civils Service Examination

->Candidate must have 21 years of age

->Candidate must complete at least degree from a recognized Indian University

Hello friend,
To become IAS officer, you will have to be one of the highest scorers in the Civil Service Examination conducted by UPSC.
After graduation, you are eligible for the exam provided you are within the age limit of 21-30 years. maximum age limit for SC/ST is 35 years and 33 years for OBC.
The selection process comprises of three stages
Civil Service Aptitude Test(CSAT)
CSAT will comprise of two compulsory papers.
Paper 1
Current events of national and international importance
History of India and Indian national movement
Indian and World Geography- physical, social, economic geography of India and the world
Indian Polity and governance – constitution, political system, panchayati raj, public policy, Rights issues, etc.
Economic and social development – sustainable development, poverty, inclusion, demographics, social sector initiatives etc.
General issues on environmental ecology, bio-diversity and climate change
General science.


Paper 2
Comprehension
Interpersonal skills including communication skills
Logical reasoning and analytical ability
Decision making and problem solving
General mental ability
Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc. (Class X level),
Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. –Class X level)
English language comprehension skills (Class X level)


After qualifying the exam, you will move to the next step and that is the Main Exam. The Main exam comprises of 4 compulsory subjects and Two optional Papers.
The compulsory subjects for the Main exam are
One Indian language,
English,
Essay and
General studies.

As far as optional papers are concerned, you will have to choose any two subjects out of the following list
Agriculture Mathematics, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Mechanical Engineering Botany, Medical Science, Chemistry, Philosophy, Civil Engineering, Physics, Commerce,Political Science ,Economics ,Psychology Electrical Engineering Public Administration, Geography, Sociology, Geology, Statistics, Indian,History, Zoology,Law.

To become an IAS officer you must crack a civil service examination named

UPSC examination. The top grade students will be selected as IAS and others

will come in an order. For applying to UPSC examination you must be a graduate

which means you must have finished your degree in whatever field you want.
