Re: Is Geology course after zoology beneficial? First of all you need to decide on the field that interests you. There is no point in selecting a stream where you have no interest. It is difficult to excel if you have no interest in the same. You will have options like becoming a meteorologist, oceanographer etc. Also options are available in the research and teaching profession. |

There are numerous avenues for a geology candidate both in the public and private sectors. A geologist can find employment opportunities in Central Government Agencies like the Geological Survey of India and the Central Ground water Board. Employment opportunities for a geologist also exists in Coal India, Mineral Exploration Authority, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation, Hindustan Zinc and several other organisations engaged in mineral explorations. A geologist fresher can expect to start with anything between 15000/- to 25000/- per month which can go up with right experience and talent. |

Biological Science (3 Years Course after 10+2) from Delhi University or any other University whose examination is recognized as equivalent to Delhi University and fulfil other conditions of eligibility. Eligibility: 50% or above marks in aggregate and 50% or above marks in Zoology. OR B.Sc.(Hons.) / B.Sc.(Pass)/B.Sc. Life Science (3 Years Course after 10+2) from Delhi University or any other University whose examination is recognized as equivalent to Delhi University and fulfil other conditions of eligibility. Eligiility: 60% or above marks in aggregate and 60% or above marks in Zoology. M.Sc. Course in Geology Intake capacity : 16 B.Sc. (Hons.) Geology (3 Years Course after 10+2) from Delhi University or any other University whose examination is recognised by the University of Delhi as equivalent and fulfil other conditions of eligibility. Eligibility: 50% or above marks in aggregate and 50% or above marks in Geology. OR B.Sc. (Genl.)/B.Sc. (Pass) (3 Years Course) with Geology, After 10+2 from Delhi University or any other University whose examination is recognised by the University of Delhi as equivalent and fulfil other conditions of eligibility.
