VAO Exam Eligibility Criteria:

VAO stands for Village Administrative Officers. Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission just like lot of other exams conducts this exam as well to recruit these officers. To give this exam you need to satisfy certain eligibility criteria. Some of them have been listed below:

You should be physically fit and to prove your fitness you need to show medical certificates to the authorities concerned.
The exam's selection procedure is mainly based on the written exam. Other factors which are taken into consideration is the district you have chosen and the number of reservations of the district concerned.
The written exam will have one paper consisting of questions from two subjects: General Knowledge and General Tamil/General English. All in all there will be 200 questions to answer in three hours' time.

The cost of the application form is Rs. 125 for the general category candidates and for reserved category candidates it is Rs. 50.
If you have already applied for the exam then the result will be out by November and by December the personal interview or counselling session will start.
Along with the application form you need to carry the xerox of the SSLC certificate during the time of examination. If you forget that then your application will be cancelled.

If you have completed 10th OR 12th standard OR graduation degree then you are applicable for VAO exam but you age should be in between 21 to 30 years old.Age relaxation is provide as per govt rule But you must know the Tamil language.

Age should not be more than 40 years a rule mandatory for both the general candidates and SC/ST and OBC candidates.
