Date of Preliminary = 12.06.2011 (Sunday) 10AM-1PM. IMPORTANT CODES: Advertisement No. 258. For Post Codes Refer Above. Examination/Service Code=004. RESERVATION: Backward Castes = 26.5 %. Muslims = 3.5 %. Most Back Ward Class = 20 %. Scheduled Castes = 15 %. Scheduled Castes(Arunthathiyar) =3 %. Scheduled Tribes = 1 %. Total = 69 %. In every Category and Overall 30% posts are exclusively reserved for Women. ELIGIBILITY: Any Degree (Must have studied after 10th and Plus 2). That is 10th+12th+Degree in this order. PLEASE Refer TNPSC Website for Various Degree Qualification for Various Posts. AGE: (Minimum 18 Years as on 01.07.2010). (Should have been born on or before 01.07.1992). For (All BC's, MBC's,All SC's,ST's and Destitute Widows)=40 years. (NOTE: For All Posts except for the Post of Assistant Commercial Tax Officer where Max. Age Limit is 40 Years). For OTHERS = 35 years. (Should have been born on or before 01.07.1989 AND should have been born on or after 02.07.1975). NOTE-"OTHERS" who have put in five years of service in the State/Central Government are not eligible to apply even if they are within the age limit. SELECTION PROCESS: WRITTEN EXAM: (MULTIPLE CHOICE) GENERAL KNOWLEDGE PAPER (DEGREE STANDARD)-3 Hours-100 Questions = 150 Marks. GENERAL TAMIL / GENERAL ENGLISH PAPER (DEGREE STANDARD)-3 Hours-100 Questions = 150 Marks. INTERVIEW RECORD: MARKS = 80 Marks. HOW TO APPLY: APPLICATION FORM=Rs. 30 (Available in Select Post offices in All District Head Quarters). EXAM FEE - Rs.75 only.
