 - Postal Assistant Exam and Sorting Assistant Exam is conducted by the Department of Postal Govt. of India. To give this exam certain eligibility criteria needs to be satisfied. They will publish notification and you have to submit your application form. A recruitment exam will be taken which will be the main determining factor when choosing deserving candidates.
- To give this exam firstly you need to be higher secondary passed out or its equivalent from a recognized school or institution. At 10+2 level it is important for you to score not less than 60% of marks in aggregate.There is percentage relaxation for the reserved category candidates. For OBC candidates it is 50% of marks in aggregate and the SC/ST candidates will have to secure minimum 45% of marks at 10+2 level.While applying for this exam your age should not be less than 18 years. The upper age limit for general category candidates is 27 years. There is age relaxation for the reserved category candidates.

- Your age should be in between 18 to 27 years old.You must know your local language very clearly .Question are coming from General Knowledge, Mathematics, English and Reasoning & Analytical Ability section so prepare well .
- They conduct also computer typing skill test so be careful on it .I have attached the Question papers of Postal Assistant exam so please check it out.

- You need to know the local language of the State of the postal circle in question so that you do not face any communication problem when interacting with the residents of the postal circle concerned.
- It will do even if you have studied hindi at matriculation level or above and therefore you are quite well versed in this language. You can use this language as the common medium of communication since this is the official language of our country.
- Questions for the exam will be mainly objective types and there will be four options for each question and you have to choose the right one. For the exam stress on the following sections: General Knowledge, Mathematics, English and Reasoning & Analytical Ability.
- Each question will carry one mark each. Questions will be mainly conceptual type. The total time limit for the exam is 120 minutes and within this short span of time you will have to answer 100 objective questions of 100 marks each.
- Cost of the application form is Rs. 50. Examination fee is Rs. 200 and it need not be paid by the SC/ST and physically handicapped candidates. Application forms for the exam will be available from the head post offices and other post offices in the postal circle concerned.
