Re: Can i appear for NDA exam if I am 18 years old? Do I satisfy the age limit for NDA? I am sorry to say that you are not eligible to apply for NDA Exam as you have already completed 20 year of age. In order to be eligible for NDA Exam, one should possess an age between 16.5 years to 19 years. No relaxation is there in upper age limit for the candidates of any category. NDA stands for National Defence Academy. Every year this exam is being conducted 2 times in a year to recruit the candidates into following defence services Army wing Navy wing Air Force wing As you have completed your 12th class in PCM, you are eligible to apply for any of the wing out of the above mentioned. You did not mention whether you are pursuing Graduation or not. You can also make entry into defence services soon after the completion of your Graduation. For that you should crack CDS (Combined Defence Services Exam). Better you can apply for this Exam. Wish you all the best. |

Age limit for this exam is : lower age limit :16 1/2 years upper age limit :19 years So , since you are 18 years of age ,you satisfy the age limit criteria . But another criteria to appear for NDA exam is that the candidate should be unmarried male . As you have'nt mentioned your sex and marital status , I can't assure you whether you are eligible for NDA exam or not . |

If you get selected then you will have to stay in the National Defense Academy and undergo training for three years. Exam Pattern:- The written exam comprises of two papers. For each paper 2.5 hours have been allotted. The total marks allotted for the exam is 900. Mainly objective questions will come. Paper can be answered in either Hindi or English. While the first paper is Mathematics and second paper is General Ability Test. For the section General Ability Test you will get questions from Physics, Chemistry, General Science, History, Geography and Current Event. The interview session will be conducted by the SSB. AGE- Minimum age 16.5 years Maximum age- 19 years For the next NDA exams Candidates born between 2nd July 1995 to 1st January 1998 can apply Only Unmarried Male candidates can apply Next NDA exams will be held on 11th August 2013 Notification has already been released |

Dear Friend, The NDA Exam is one of the two UPSC Exams conducted twice every year for the selection of candidates in the different wings of Indian Defense : 1) Indian Army 2) Indian Navy 3) Indian Air Force The NDA Exam is conducted twice as NDA-I & NDA-II respectively in the months of April 2013 and August 2013. The NDA April 2013 has already been conducted so now we have to check that whether you are eligible for the August 2013 Exam or not. The Eligibility Criteria Required for NDA Exam are : * You must have passed 12th with PCM from any recognized board. * Your age should lie in between 16.5-19 years. * You must be a male candidate and also unmarried. * Girls cannot sit for the NDA Exam. * You must be an Indian Citizen. * You must be physically and mentally fit. Also , your date of birth is 19 April , 1993 which means right now your age is over 20 years which easily makes you ineligible for the NDA Exam. So , if you are really interested in joining Indian Defense , then it will be better for you to go for the Combined Defense Services Exam which too is conducted twice every year by the Union Public Service Commission. But keep in mind that the minimum educational qualification required to appear for the CDS Exam is Graduation in any stream from any recognized university. Yeah you are eligible for NDA exam. A candidate who has 18years old is eligible for NDA exam, this exam is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year. Eligibility criteria:- The candidate should be complete 12th standard from a recognised state or central board. Percentage is not required for this exam. The candidate must be a citizen of india. The candidate should be physically fit. Only unmarried male candidates are eligible. The age limits are 16.5years to 19 years. Below I have provided the eligibility criteria for the NDA entrance exam you can go through that. Eligibility for NDA NDA is the entrance exam for the admission in the India's NATIONAL DEFENSE ACADEMY. The NDA exan is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year. One you clear all the exams in the NDA then you get a job under the government of India. After a training of one year after selection you get the permanent job. The eligibility for the NDA exam is that one should have passed the 10+2 board exam from a recognized board , it is for the Army wing only. But for the Air Force and the Navy you have to pass the 10+2 board exam from the recognized board and should have maths and physics as the compulsory subjects in the 10+2 board exam. The age criteria is from 16.5 years to 21 years for the general category students. Also there is upper age relaxation for the OBC of 3 years and for the SC/St there is 5 years of age relaxation on the upper age limit. Age Limit for NDA : The candidates should be Unmarried Male between 16.5 and 19 years of age are eligible to apply for NDA . After the entrance exam if you get selected , then you will be called for interview and physical and medical test where they will check the weight and height requirements and also health condition . |

You want to serve the nation , which is really appreciable,..Through this NDA examination, one can join the any branch of the Indian army, i.e in NAVAL , AIR FORCE & MILITARY BRANCH. This examination is conducted by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION [UPSC], twice in a year. The educational requirement for this examination is a 12th degree from the recognized board. For apply in NAVAL & AIR FORCE , you must have Physics & Maths in 12th with atleast 60% in 12th [aggregate]. The age limit for this examination is 16.5-19 years,. You are totally eligible for the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION [UPSC] examination, Through this NDA[NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY] examination ,one can apply in all the combatant branches of the Indian army... You are eligible for all the branches of Indian army,i.e. NAVAL FORCE WING, AIR FORCE WING & MILITARY BRANCH .... The minimum educational qualification needed for this examination is a 12th degree from a recognized board. for apply in naval & air force wing, you must have physics & maths in 12TH with at least 60%. The age limit for this examination is 16.5-19 years, So, you totally satisfy the age limit criteria for this exam.. also you must have INDIAN nationality with marital status unmarried. You have mentioned that your age is 18 years ,now you have to check that if till the date of next NDA exam you are 18+ then you are eligible but if it cross 19 years then you are not .
