Re: What is the last date to apply for IAS exam? Dear Friend  First of all ,I would like to make one thing clear that there is no IAS exam.IAS stands for the Indian Administrative services. The examination for this services comes under the category of civil services examination which is the most prestigious as well as toughest exam of India.It is conducted by UPSC every year. The civil services examination for the year 2012 had been organised.Now you to wait for the 2013 civil services examination for which the important dates are as below; Date of notification:02/02/2013 Last date of receiving application:04/03/2013 Date of examination:19/05/2013. Civil services examination is conducted in three stages that is first stage is preliminary test also called civil services aptitude test which on 19/05/2013.It consists of two papers of two hours each. The second stage that is main examination is held generally five months after preliminary examination .it will be held in november. The last stage is personal interview. Graduation is the minimum requirement in terms of educational qualification for this exam.Final year candidates are also eligible for this exam. Your age should be between 21-30 years if you belong to general catgeory.Relaxation of three years to obc and five years to sc/st respectively. For any other information regarding this exam,You can visit www.upsc.gov.in Hope the information satisfies you. Note: Since it is the toughest exam of INDIA ,you need to labour very hard for achieving success in this examination.You have to make day and night same . all the best aashisranjan784 |

Re: What is the last date to apply for IAS exam? Hello friend.. IAS - Indian Administrative Service Exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) every year in a pan-Indian basis. IAS exam hold on the every year in the starting week of May Month and you wait for some month to published the next date of notification. I think next Date of Notification Published in the starting week of February Month and last date of apply in the starting week of March Month Minimum academic qualifications :- A degree from a recognised university or equivalent Age Limits:- 21-30 years as on 1.8.2012 Thanks.. The examination is conducted by UPSC every year in two stages, Preliminary and Mains. Preliminary examination is also called CSAT(Civil services aptitude test). Firstly, you have to registered for Preliminary examination, this examination contains two objective type papers and if you cracked this examination then only you can registered for Main examination. Main examination is Descriptive and for this you have to select two optionals , two languages, one essay exam. If you cracked the Main examination, then you are eligible for Final Interview. So, this is the selection procedure of Civil services examination to become IAS Officer. You must have attained the age of 21 years and not more than 30 years to apply for this examination, relaxation to upper age is applicable for Reserved category candidates. General candidates will gets only 4 chance to cracked this examination, OBC Candidates gets 7 attempts and no Limits for SC/ST Candidates.
