Re: How to crack civil services exam in 1st attempt?

HI dear,

there are many cases who have cracked their civil services in their first attempt itself

if we take the latest update as the jammu kashmir doctor who have cracked his exam in his very first attempt

not only him more than 33% of the people have cracked the exam in their fist attempt itself

and for this the common answer they have said

is that

they have a strong determination and desire to get through this exam

Thanks

Re: How to crack civil services exam in 1st attempt?

I think its always better to start your preparing for the exam much in an advance to allow yourself to understand the nature of the exam and understand the finer points associated.

One should prepare selectively and stress hard on the scoring areas. But this should be done by gaining much knowledge about the question pattern. Unnecessary risk should not be taken.

Its important to have some reading habits as that will help you to keep yourself updated about the current affairs. Read lots of magazines.

It will help if you can collect some notes from seniors as they have already gone through all these before. Coaching institutes (the renowned ones) can also be of great help.

Lastly time management in any entrance exam is one important factor. So solve papers by keeping a stop watch beside you.

Good luck dear

Re: How to crack civil services exam in 1st attempt?

About 900 candidates are finally selected each year out of the nearly 400,000, but only a rank in the top 50-100 guarantees an IAS or IFS selection—an acceptance rate of 0.01 percent, which makes it perhaps the most competitive exam in the world.
So, it is tough to crack civil services exam. You need to do really hard work to be successful. Only one or two hours of daily study will not do, you must dedicate more time to study to be successful.
Taking coaching classes is also helpful and Raus IAS is the best coaching center for preparation for the exam.

Re: How to crack civil services exam in 1st attempt?

actuarially, there are two things, one is choice and another things is compulsion and in both condition u can crack this exam. main thing is that don think that it's any exam but thinks that its a game and we are to win this game and nothing else. and reading and writing hobby will give u confidence to do anything. so do well and achieve Ur what u wish for urself.

Hi,

You need to have good knowledge of current affairs and our history and administration.

Also you should be strong in aptitude and the subjects that you have chosen or will choose.

Prepare a time table and stick to it honestly. Read the editorial pages of newspapers like Hindu.
