Re: What is the maximum age limit for GATE examination? Dear Friend.. No, There is not any maximum age limit for giving the GATE exam.. You can give the GATE exam at any age after completing your B.Tech or in the final year of B.Tech course.. The GATE exam is one of the toughest exam in engineering discipline.. So there isn't any age limit in it.. Following are the benefits of GATE exam: --if you score well in this exam then you have a chance to get a job in reputed PSU's as NTPC, ONGC etc.. --you also have a chance to continue your studies and go for M.Tech.. So All the best.. Prepare it well.. |

GATE 2014 ELIGIBILITY: The following categories of candidates are eligible to appear in GATE 2014 exam: a) Bachelor degree holders in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes. b) Master degree holders in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes c) Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/ Technology or in the third or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master degree programme and Dual Degree programme in Engineering/ Technology. d) Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognised by UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by IE (I), AMICE (I) by the Institute of Civil Engineers (India)-ICE (I)) as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. Those who have completed section A or equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible oPre-final year students are not eligible to write GATE 2014 oDIPLOMA HOLDERS IN ENGINEERING ARE NOT ELIGIBLE. **there is no age limit.. |

GATE - Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering conducted by IIT and Indian Institute of Science for admission to M.Tech. courses in IITs, NITs etc. There is no maximum age restriction for application to GATE. Hence a candidate can apply for GATE irrespective of his/her age and there is also no restriction on number of attempts to GATE. Apart from this the eligible candidate must be an Indian national having either appear for the final B.Tech. Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University, can apply for GATE. |

GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering .This exam is conducted for M-Tech admission , PHD admission and some of the organization recruit the candidate through GATE score. So competition is too tough for GATE exam , You should prepare well for GATE Exam . If you have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or Architecture/Design or its equivalent or masters degree in science department are applicable for GATE Exam.There is no marks criteria. There are no restriction for attempts in GATE exam.You can apply here maximum time.There is no age criteria but your minimum age must be above 18 years. GATE score is valid for TWO years.3rd year student are NOT eligible for This year GATE exam.Only final year and pass out batch are eligible for 2013 GATE exam. . |
