Re: Details regrading SLET exam conducted by Punjab state? You can't find any website about the SLET Entrance Exam in Punjab because the state currently do not conduct any such examination. The state uses the National Eligibility Test to fill the posts. It was only last year that Pubjab's Educational Minister announced that state would be conducting its own SLET exam using the UGC pattern. This decision was taken after huge shortage of NET passed candidates in the state applying for the lecturer's job. Since then there is no word regarding when the SLET exam would be conducted by the Punjab government. It spent the first few months of this year preparing for the elections. However it is expected that since the same government won the elections (BJP + SAD), the SET exam in the state would be conducted soon. But unfortunately there is no news since the announcement made last year. Anyway since the Punjab government will be helding the SET exam on the UGC pattern. The eligibility requirements would remain the same as the National Eligibility Test. Below are the complete details about the NET exam which would give you some idea about the eligibility criteria for Punjab SET exam. Eligibility 1. Candidate should be citizen of India. 2. You must complete post graduation course in any stream from a recognised university. 3. At least 55 percent marks are required in PG course to appear in NET/SET exam. 4. SC/ST candidates require 50 percent marks. 5. Final year students of post graduation are also welcome to appear in NET/SET exam. 6. But they would require to provide the degree within 2 years of passing the NET/SET exam. 7. Your subject for NET/SET would be same as post graduation course. 8. There is no upper age limit for the Lectureship. |
