Re: How to prepare for Interviews for freshers?

before appearing in Job interview freshers candidate should be prepared well. first of all just you have to do practice how to speak english if english speaking is a problem to you. if you are english medium student and you can speak english fluently then this is a good advantage for you. otherwise you have to work on english speaking to improve your english speaking power.

after that just be prepared for some common question like introduce yourself, your strength, your weakness, why should i higher you etc etc. you must be prepared for these type of common questions.

then you must be aware about your post for which you are applying. they may ask question which is related to your post. always try to represent you in the way that they think you are suitable for that post. always speak with confident but don't bluff to the interviewer. they are much clever than you. bluff only you can cover that with your smartness.

obviously be prepare for your subject question. they will ask question form your branch with some HR question. in the last they will ask do you have any question? don't say no question is there. always ask them at least one Intelligent question. this is the time to show your intelligence to them. ask them one question which is newer but related to the company. you may ask about your responsibility after joining in the post. just this type of question.

always give to the point answer. don't come to any politics discussion, don't say any figure of salary, always try to avoid any discussion on salary, don't say any company bad or good. always discuss about that company for which you are there don't go for discussion about the other company. give value of time of the interviewer/ don/t take too much time to tell about yourself or in any other question.

best of luck.

I would like to say that the interview are very structured to obtain the maximum from you.

First of all your communication power should be very strong and effective so that you can easily define yourself:
but sometimes we keep all these things in mind but forget some points which are specially noted by interviewing officer:

First Impressions Count:

Arrive in good time
Make a good entrance
Body language - handshake, posture, eye contact
Smile

The Interview

Be yourself
Be honest
Be prepared to talk - but not too much
Don't be afraid to ask for clarification
Illustrate your answers with examples
Be ready to sell yourself
Be interesting

The Final Stage

Know when the interview is over - read employer's body language
Thank him/her for his/her time
Learn from the experience - ask for feedback if necessary

Although you should be good in answering questions like:

Tell us about yourself
Why did you choose your degree and what have you gained from it?
What has been your most important achievement in life so far? Why?
What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Why have you applied for this job?
What do you have to offer us?
What are the current issues in this sector of work?
What experience do you have of working in a team and what role did you play in that team?
Describe a project you have successfully completed.
How would your friends describe you?
Describe a situation you have found difficult. How did you overcome it?
What questions would you like to ask us?

Re: How to prepare for Interviews for freshers?

Before attempting an Interview, some prior information will make you to succeed in interview. Here i am providing you some guidelines which will be helpful for you to prepare and attempt for the interview in good manner.

Prepare self- introduction yourself with some good content. The length of the self introduction (time you have to speak) might be vary from one interview to interview.

So you should be able to speak about yourself as brief as 2 minutes and as long as more than 10 minutes.

Highlight all your achievements and strengths if they are useful to the company.

Before attending the interview, prepare some notes regarding the company aspects which will be helpful to you to answer some questions like "why you want to joint in this company?".

Remaining minute things but have lot of impact are appearance, dressing.

In addition the most important thing you require is the subject knowledge which will be the foundation and your communication should be effective.

One thing remember in the interview is don't try to bluff the interviewer and accept the reality.

Re: How to prepare for Interviews for freshers?

hi..
as an fresher one thing you can be sure of one thing is that there will not be many questions from the practical point of view,
the questions asked will be only theoretical,so you have to only prepare for theory part and some basics of the job,
one thing that you should do is find all the information about the job you are giving interview and prepare accordingly by keeping your self in the place of the interviewer and think what will he ask,
also be well in your project work in your graduation because there will certainly be many questions from it,
also dont give your bio data when some one asks you about yourself but rather tell him the special things you have and how you are different to others ,

Re: How to prepare for Interviews for freshers?

There are some few Interview Preparation Tips-

1. Communication Skills : while communicating with interviewer you must be confident , making eye contact, firm handshake. As you know first impression is always makes a huge impact.

2. Listen : Listen is the best habit , before the interview your interviewer give information, you must hear it carefully, otherwise you may lose some important points.Communication skills not only include speaking it also include listening, a good listner is always a winner.

3. Confidence: Whats ever you speak , speak with confidence. As confidence is the key to cross every barrier of life.

4. Dress Properly: As first impression is the last impression, your dress makes the first impression, so be wear some formal clothes or a business suit.

5. Use Proper Language : Use proper professional language during the interview. Don't use any inappropriate slang words or references to age, race, religion, politics or sexual orientation.

6. Talk up to the point : Telling the interviewer more than he want to know could be a fatal mistake. Answer only those question what he asked , reply up to point.

Instead of that you should follow some Interview Rules-

1. Punctuality : Be on time for your interview. If possible reach the venue 15 to 20 min before the schedule time.

2. Research: Research about the company before going for interview. You must know about the services, work culture, clients, domains ,products, customes, about CEO of company etc. Interviewer can ask question why you want to join this company? , in that case informationabout company is useful.

3.Enthusiasm: when you enter in the room , handshake with the interviewer and eye contact describe your confidence.

4.Prepared: Bring all the copies of your certificates, extra copies of your resume. You should also have questions prepared to ask at the end of the interview.
