There is no chance given to any one to directly join Indian Army . If you want to join Indian Army then you can do this through the following ways :

a) NDA Examination

b) CDS Examination

Both The NDA & CDS Examination are conducted by the Union Public Service Commission twice every year for the selection of candidates in different wings of Indian Defence.

In order to join Indian Army through NDA Examination , you have to crack this examination successfully.

This Examination is conducted in two phases :

a) Written Examination

b) Interview Test.

Also , only those candidates are eligible to appear for this exam who fulfill the below mentioned :

a) Educational Qualifications Required For NDA Examination :

* You must have passed (12th) with PCM From any recognized board.

* Your age must be in between 16.5-19 years.

c) Nationality :

* You must be an Indian Citizen.

d) You must be an unmarried male.
