Dear Aspirant,

Yes for applying for the post of the entry level software engineer it is sufficient. But when you are applying the post of a senior engineer.Either you need to have a experience or you need to poses a certification on that particular post.

Majorly the chance of getting the jobs by the Btech degree is more than the going for the Mtech.

So you dont worry about the post of software engineers.Since many companies are present in india which take the UG degree holders for their company.

So i suggest to learn any software and any tool which has a good craze in the IT market.

So after learning it go for the certification process by which you can get jobs with a good salary in good companys.

So getting certification is not so easy.Learn the subject well and implement it.

Hope this info helps you.

All the best for your future endeavor's.

Hi,

It is enough but still if you want to separately do some software course then you can do it and get the certificate and it will be additional value to your CV and your career as well. After completion of you B.Tech you need to register in the job sites like naukri, monster, tines job an click jobs then keep updating the resume and then your resume will be on top to view for recruiters and they will contact you for intervew purpose. You can also try for campus placement from you college by scoring well in the B.tech. You can even try for government companies or public sector companies like BHEL, IOCL, HPCL, BPCL, Indian rare earth limited, Hal, ONGC, banking, railways etc you can check and apply for it and attend the written test.

hi,,
B.tech qualification is one of the criteria in becoming a software engineer,,,but besides that you have to develop the extra curricular activities like communication skills, fluency at english, also technically you should be good.
The MNC's select the students in the begining of the 4th year,,
Generally there are 3 rounds in selecting good students...
>1st they will see the aggregation in 4 years of b.tech, it should be minimum of 60%
>Then 1st round will be written test(check either you able to write quickly, a good matter on given topic)
>Then 2nd round will be group discussion
>And 3rd round will be interview, about your persennal details as well as your technical skills.
And M.tech is certainly neccessary in some aspects like promotion in the govt.jobs.
If you want to do M.tech you need to qualify the GATE entrance test.
, through the gate rank you can do the M.tech in desired college.
By persuing M.tech you can apply for any govt.job, by the M.tech you can easily get the govt.or private lecturer job in the diploma or B.tech colleges.
Slelect your stream rightly either M.tech or software.
All the best

Dear,

To apply for the post of software engineer B.tech qualification is enough. Many B.tech graduates are working in reputed software industries as software engineers.

There are certain levels of software engineers in an organisation. B.tech holders are appointed at level 3 and they achieve high level by their experience.

But if you do M.tech you can get appointed to higher level than this and so on. Now it totally depends on you. Since M.Tech is a bit tough so if you get placement after B.tech don't miss the chance for M.tech.

Best of luck!
