Re: Eligibility for BARC exam for BTECH ECE and how to apply for BARC? sir, I have 62% in my B.E final year(pune university), but sum of all semesters is less than 60%..although aggregate % differs according to the university..bcoz i contacted the university of pune and they said pune university aggregate is only final year marks as my degree certificate has awarded FIRST CLASS to me, unlike mumbai or some other universities which considers all semesters or some only 1st and last year, or some only 3rd and final year..and they award the class on their degree accordingly..but some of the unofficial links on the web suggested that aggregate means the sum of all semesters despite university norms..so can you please tell me if i am applicable for the BARC or other gov companies..please reply soon..thank you |

Applicants for Physics discipline should have Physics and Mathematics up to B.Sc or at subsidiary and/or ancillary level in case of five years integrated M.Sc. Applicants for Chemistry discipline should have Mathematics up to XII std and Physics up to B.Sc or at subsidiary and/or ancillary level in case of five years integrated MSc. Applicants in Physics and Chemistry opting to be considered on the basis of GATE Score should have a valid GATE Score in Physics and Chemistry respectively. How to Apply: Make two copies of the application form (click here to dowload), affix a passport size photo on each and mail to: BARC-Ph.D. Programme-2012, DEO, Recruitment-IV, Training School Complex, Anushaktinagar, Mumbai - 400 094. The application enables you to register for the OCES/DGFS-2012 Written Test of BARC Training School (BARC TS). In case you opt for it, a letter of admission to the Written Test Centre of your choice will be mailed to you. However, even if you do not receive admission letter, you can proceed to your chosen test center with a copy of the application and proof of mailing it. Those who wish to apply only on the basis of GATE-2012 should apply only after declaration of GATE-2012 result. Candidates who have opted to take the Science Written Test and who also wish to be considered on the basis of their GATE Score, can also submit their GATE score at a later date to the address mentioned above. All candidates who have appeared for BARC TS Written Test should mention the Application Number allotted to them while communicating their GATE score Important Dates Last date of receipt of application for those opting for written test in Science Disciplines 16th Jan 2012 Written Test 26th Feb 2012 Last date of receipt of application for those not opting for written test and receipt of GATE Score 31st Mar 2012 Interview Schedule to be displayed on website 25th Apr 2012 Selection Interview: 22nd May 2012 onwards |

Age limit for BARC The candidates desirous of availing DAE Fellowship should have been bom on or after 01 September, 1984. Age limit is relaxable by 3 Years for OBC and by 5 Years for SC / ST applicants. Check out the age criteria if you match then apply. |

(or) equivalent with minimum 60% * marks in one of the following Engineering disciplines: Chemical, Computer, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Metallurgy, Instrumentation are eligible to apply. Applicants for Physics discipline should have Physics and Mathematics up to B.Sc (or) at subsidiary and / or ancillary level in case of 5 Years integrated M.Sc. Applicants for Chemistry discipline should have Mathematics up to XII std and Physics up to B.Sc (or) at subsidiary and / or ancillary level in case of 5 Years integrated M.Sc. For Biology and related disciplines M.Sc in Agriculture, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Genetics, Botany, Zoology, Plant Science, Plant Breeding, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Food Technology, Animal Science, Life Sciences and Biosciences. (or) BE / B.Tech / B.Sc (Tech) only in Food Technology with minimum (or) 60% * marks. MSc applicants should have Physics (or) Chemistry (or) Biochemistry (or) Agriculture Chemistry up to B.Sc (or) at subsidiary (or) Ancillary level in case of 5 Year integrated M.Sc with minimum of 60% * aggregate marks in M.Sc as well as in B.Sc. Applicants opting to be considered on the basis of GATE Score should have valid GATE Score in Life Sciences. Those having M.Sc with specialization in subjects like Fisheries, Horticulture, Forestry, Agronomy, Animal Husbandly. Marine Biology and Home Science etc and BE / B.Tech / M.Tech in Biotechnology / Genetic Engineering are not eligible. * A minimum of 60% marks means that 60% minimum marks in the qualifying degree / P.G. degree as per the ordinance of the respective university in the respective disciplines (or) equivalent CGPA (converted to % marks by multiplying with 100 / x if GGPA is on x points scale). Those whose final results of qualifying degree are awaited can also apply. In the event of selection mark sheet of final result should be submitted by 30 November, 2010. This means you can apply if you satisfy the marks criteria. |

BARc written test is a 3hrs examination,all are MCQ.after clear written test then you are calledfor interview. written test is easy ,they are asking the basic engineering knowledge.but interview is too tough,they are asking detailed and through knowledge over the subject. good luck. |
