even when the question seems to be tough while looking and think there will be some logic behind it. u should have to learn conceptual based and that improves ur brain. The neurons will get activated .
there is no that what u crack to get into engg. . It all matters your interest in learning the subject and spare time for it.
Dont try to mug up any thing. But u need to remember some of the formulae for not being the consumption of time
Try to learn different methodologies to solve in a easy manner
good luck

Knowledge: 10+2 level knowledge is tested at a level higher than what is recommended by most senior secondary school education boards in the country.

Thinking:

This is the tricky part. Remember the following
1. You've got to study conceptually. Cramming everything will not help.
2. Most questions are easier than they look. And it is your thinking that will help you solve twisted questions and take the lead over other examinees. Practice both types of questions, and practice well
3. Sometimes, even thinking about which of the options seems fit for the question can solve it without calculation. You can save your energy, and time.

E.g. (Study the question carefully and think) A glass paperweight is placed on a study-table. The speed of light in glass is 'xyz' and frequency of light from a study-table lamp is 'pqr', what is the wavelength of the light that can enable the student to observe the design inside? a) 5 angstrom b) 50 nanometre c) 5 cm d) none. Answer is d, just think that its got to be visible light only, wavelength is 400nm to 700nm. Other students will write V = fL and do the calculation.

Prepare well, good luck

Hi,

You need to practice your core subjects and solve previous year papers to get the hint about kind of questions asked in the test.
you must prepare and give proper time to each of the subject PCM daily and revise all the concepts you learn weekly.
Also join test series to analyse your output.
