Re: Age relaxation for IBPS examinations for OBC candidates? HELLO SIR....... Age limit for IBPS clerk is 18 years. Those above 28 years are not eligible for clerical position. For P.O, the lower age limit is 21 years. Upper age limit in the case is 30 years. OBC candidates can expect 3 year age relaxation from all these cases. The rule is applicable for other central government jobs also. GOOD LUCK !!!! |

Re: Age relaxation for IBPS examinations for OBC candidates? There are two major exams conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Services. The names are IBPS Clerk and IBPS Bank PO. Both exams are supported by 19 Public sector banks in the country. Each exam has its own age limit, both lower and upper age. The candidates belonging to Other Backward Class are given 3 years relaxation in the upper age limit. Although the lower age limit remains the same. This rule is not just followed in banking exams by IBPS but other central government jobs as well. OBC candidates are given 3 years relaxation in all the cases while SC/ST candidates are given 5 years relaxation. IBPS Clerk Eligibility 1. You should be Indian citizen. 2. A graduation degree in any stream. 3. A diploma/degree in Computers. Alternatively you must have studied Computers as a subject in High School/College. 4. The age limit for Clerk exam is 20 to 28 years. 5. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC. 6. There is 5 years relaxation for SC/ST. 7. The relaxation for PWD is 10 years. IBPS Bank PO Eligibility 1. You should be of Indian origin. 2. A bachelor degree in any discipline. 3. There is no percentage criteria. 4. The age limit is 20 to 30 years. There is some relaxation in upper age limit. OBC - 3 years. SC/ST - 5 years. PWD - 10 years. |

For general candidates age is between 20 -30 years for PO. For OBC candidates the age is between 20 - 33 years. For SC/ ST candidates age is between 20 -35 years.
