Sociology is offered at bachelors level, masters level as well as doctorate level. Apart from this, the subject is tested in the preliminary examination of Civil Service Examination conducted by union Public Service Commission as well as State Civil Service Exam conducted by public service commission of respective states. The subject is also tested in examinations such National Eligibility Test and State Lectureship Eligibility Test conducted by University Grant Commission.
Apart from these examinations, in order to consider students for admission in courses in Sociology, various universities conducts entrance examination.
Since you haven't mentioned specifically about any particular examination, as you can see, its pretty much difficult to provide you the exact syllabus of Sociology for the examination you are willing to appear for. So, We would request you to provide us more information regarding the examination so that we can give you the proper syllabus of Sociology for that particular examination.
