Re: What after M.V.Sc. in veterinary public health? Hi, M.V.Sc. – Master of Veterinary Sciences You have done postgraduation, now you have two options to do – 1. Higher Studies. 2. Go for a job. If you wish to pursue higher studies, then you can apply for – Ph.D. in Veterinary Science.. Ph. D. Will help you to become a research fellow and eventually a scientist. There are a lot of fields in Veterinary Science where you can specialize. If you want to do a job then, you can apply for - Assistant veterinary in wildlife sanctuaries and zoos. Teaching. There is a lot of scope abroad also. So, choose wisely. |

Now I want to go for MVPH from "All India Institute of Hygiene and Public Health" Kolkata. So please sir kindly let me know the procedure of admission for outsiders, fees structure, course details, and chances of Scholarship for outsider. After obtaining the M.V.Sc. degree, one can opt for research leading to Ph.D. in anatomy, animal breeding and genetics, animal reproduction, clinical medicine, dairy science, livestock production management, nutrition, microbiology, pathology or poultry science and surgery. There are also opportunities for veterinary doctors in the armed forces. The Army Remount Veterinary Corps (equivalent to Army Medical Corps) directly recruits veterinary doctors. Veterinarians are employed by zoological parks/ zoos and wildlife sanctuaries. Postgraduates in veterinary science can also opt for teaching or research work.Pharmaceutical companies and dairy sector industries also employ veterinary science graduates. You can appear for the Indian Forest Service Examination conducted by the Union Public Services Commission, New Delhi There is much scope for availing research fellowships at the postgraduate and post-doctoral level abroad, including the U.S., Canada and Australia and have handsome salaries Have a great future.... |
