Graduates in any discipline can apply for IAS/IPS exam conducted by UPSC.

So if you complete your Visual communication Graduation from a UGC recognised university then certainly you will be eligible for IAS/IPS exam.

Your age must be according to the IAS guidelines along with the Graduation Degree.

Age required in 21 to 30 years if you are general category candidate. There is age relaxation available of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC.

IF you want to crack IAS/IPS exam then you have to undergo following stages:

-CSAT ( Civil Services Aptitude Test)

-Civil Services Mains

-Personal interview

The number of attempts are limited for General and OBC category . For General 4 attempts and for OBC 7 attempts are allowed.

There is no such limitation in attempts for SC/ST.

Those who pass CSAT are only allowed to proceed to Mains and interview.
