These exams are conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. Number of Attempts: To appear for civil exam there is limit . 4 attempts are required for the General candidates. 7 attempts required for the OBC candidates. No limit of attempts are required for the SC\ST candidates. All the best........... |

I am 21 years old and a OC candidate The number of attempts for Civil Services exam for different category is as follows: General Category - 4 Attempts OBC Category - 7 attempts SC/ST Category - No limit in Attempts means till the age limit exceeds. Hence if you are a Graduate in any discipline or in final year of graduation and expecting result in time then you can apply for IAS exam. The age limit for IAS exam is 21 to 30 years for General category . There is age relaxation available for SC/ST, OBC , PWD and Ex Servicemen categories according to government rules. I am 21 years old and a OC candidate In order to appear for the UPSC Civil Services exam you will require the following eligibility:- >>You must be graduation pass out in any stream. >>Your degree should be from recognized university. >>Your degree should be approved from the UGC/AICTE. Age details:- >>Your minimum age should be 21 years. >>Your age should not be above 28 years. Marks Required:- >>Your minimum marks in Graduation should be 50%. Age relaxation details:- In case if you will cross the upper age limit then you will able to get age relaxations if you comes under the reserved category. Its details are:- >>If you are from OBC then you will get 3 years. >>If you are from SC/ST then you will get 5 years. Number of Attempts details:- >>If you are from OBC category then you can appear 7 times. >>If you are from GENERAL category then you can appear 4 times. I am 21 years old and a OC candidate Civils I think you mean Civil Service Exam conducted every year by UPSC to become IAS/IPS/IFS/IES etc. officer The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidate for 5 years and for OBC candidate up to 3 years.
