i have copmleted my graduation(Eco.Hons) with 2nd in 2008. have i eligble for CPT Exam. please help me.

Dear friend,

Those candidate who have passed Common Proficiency Test and Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 examination) conducted by an examination body constituted by law in India
or
an examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto and passed CPT may join the Professional Competence Course.

These exams are conducted twice every year generally on the first Sunday of the months of June and December.

There is no restriction on the number of attempts a student can make at the CA CPT examination.

CA CPT Syllabus 2012:-

No. of papers:- One

Duration:- Four years

Marks:- 200

Two Sections - Two hours - 100 Marks

Section A:- Fundamentals of Accounting ( 60 Marks )
Section B: Mercantile Law ( 40 Marks )
Section C: General Economics ( 50 Marks )
Section D: Quantitative Aptitude ( 50 Marks )

EXAM DATE:-

June Examination:-

June 6th, 2010; June 5th, 2011; June 3rd, 2012.

December Examination:-

December 5th, 2010; December 4th, 2011; December 2nd, 2012

The basic eligibility for CPT entrance exam is to have passed exam in 10 + 2 pattern or any other equivalent. Graduates can also apply for CPT entrance exam. The degrees usually considered are M.Com, LLB, ICWA, B.Com, CS or MBA. The main criterion is to have passed the graduation in the first attempt. The candidates who are appearing for the final year can also apply.
