IAS is a tough exam conducted almost every year by UPSC. It is a exam that needs your continuous preparation as it is very difficult to clear the exam and as it should be because they usually give the officers a very big responsibility as well as they make many decisions so its necessary that they select the best one available to them as on date. Eligibility :- Candidate must be an Indian Citizen Graduation from a recognized university Age limit - 21-30 Relaxation to reserved No subject limit No percentage limit Exam will be conducted in two phases and after that an Interview is taken so that the best one only comes out from the process. The notification for 2013 Civil Service Exam has not yet been declared. The candidate aspiring for IAS Civil Service Exam, must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. The Civil Service exam is conducted through two stages written exam followed by Personal Interview. The exam selects candidates through: Preliminary exam Main exam Interview. It is a step by step process as the candidate must pass both preliminary and the main exam to appear for the interview. As you are telling that you are OBC category candidate,the eligibility criteria which you must possess for writing the exam are: >> You must have a citizenship in India so that you can apply for the IAS exam. >> You must have got a age limit of 21-33 years as it is for OBC candidates. >> There is no exception in the education qualification as you must at least got a degree from a recognized university and must have attained a fair percentage. >> When you are writing your final degree exam,at that time itself you can apply for the IAS exam as you will be eligible to apply for it.
