IAS that is Indian Administrative services.For the different services of Indian government like IAS,IPS,IFS,IRS etc Union Public service commission conducts civil services examinations. In order to be eligible for the Civil services examinations ,you need to fulfill the certain requirements that are discussed as follows: >>First one is the academic requirement that is bachelor's degree in any stream or discipline from a recognized university or in the final year of bachelor' s degree . Now coming to your query that is age limits: The age limits for the candidates of different category are as follows: 1.General: 21-30 years 2.OBC:21-33 years 3.SC/ST:21-35 years 4.Physically handicapped:21-40 years. >>Nationality: Indian. The examination has three levels in which first is the Civil services aptitude test after clearing it you will have to give Main exam and finally the personal interview. The important dates for the Civil services exam is : Date of notification:05/03/2013. Last date of receiving application:04/04/2013. Date of examination:26/05/2013. After graduation you can apply for I.A.S exam. I.A.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year. Age should be in between 21-30 year. For ST/SC candidate age should be in between 21-37 year. Number of attempts for general candidate is 4. For ST/SC candidate there is no limit in number of attempts. You can apply online or offline. The Form cost is just 20 Rs. ELIGIBILITY: AGE LIMIT: The candidate required the min age limit is above 21 years. The candidate required the max age limit is below 30 years. The upper age relaxation is applicable for other categories. 33 years upper age for the OBC. 35 years upper age for the SC\ST. 40 years upper age for the PH. You should complete the Graduation from recognized university. Final Year pursuing candidates are eligible. No of Attempts required for this exam. 4 for General 7 for OBC. No limit for the SC\ST. The IAS officer work closely with the state government even though the recruitment is done by the central government. There are various responsibilities of the Indian Administrative Service officer. The IAS officer has to implement government policies at the ground level. To ensure that work is being carrying out smoothly and there is no irregularity with the public funds, the IAS officer consistently visits the places where policy is being implemented. During the natural disaster like floods, earthquake, tornado, hurricane and even drought, IAS officer provides valuable information to the state government to carry out relief work. Eligibility 1. Only candidates of Indian origin can apply for IAS. 2. Must have a bachelor degree in any stream. 3. There is no percentage criteria. Age Limit 1. The age limit is 21 to 30 years for General. 2. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC. 3. SC/ST candidates are given 5 years relaxation. Age Criteria: 21 to 30 years for General category candidates 21to 33 year for OBC category candidates 21 to 35 years for SC/ST category candidates Number of attempts: 4 attempts for General category candidates. 7 attempts for Obc category candidates 14 attempts for SC/ST category candidates. Pattern for IAS Exam: IAS exam is conducted by Civil Service Exam. Re: What is the age limit for Indian Administrative Service Examination Indian Administrative Service(IAS) exam is conducted through Civil Service Exam which is conducted by UPSC once every year for appointment of IAS/IPS/IRS/IES/IFS etc. The age limit for IAS Civil Service Exam minimum 21 years to maximum 30 years for General candidate. The upper age is relaxed for reserved candidate such as for SC/ST candidate up to 5 years and for OBC candidate up to 3 years. Hence the SC/ST category candidate can apply for IAS from 21 to 35 years while OBC category candidate from 21 to 33 years. Apart from this thr upper age is relaxed for Ex service man up to 5 years and for PWD category candidate up to 10 years. Apart from this age criteria, the candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University, can apply for IAS Civil Service Exam. To become Indian Administrative Service Examination and then you need to clear the Civil Service Examination . Civil Service examination is divided into various stage and they are prelims , main followed personal interview . Minimum Education Qualification for this examination is that candidate should have a completed minimum qualification of graduate degree from a recognized University .  Eligibility Criteria :- You must be Citizen of India . You must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years as on 1st august of the year of examination and Upper age limits is applicable . Upper age limits :-
Attempts :-
Education Qualification :- You must have a minimum Education qualification of this examination is completed graduate degree with any discipline or equivalent qualification from a recognized University . Any degree holder can apply for this examination and there is no percentage bar required to apply . Those who are appearing in the final year of degree may also eligible to apply for this examination . But if you have a any backlogs then you are not eligible to apply for IAS Examination . So , if you are belongs to general category then you can apply for this examination upto 30 year of age . IAS Exam prelims notification will be available in the month of February in the official website of UPSC as well as employment news paper . www.upsc.gov.in |
