Re: Jobs in PSU like ONGC NTPC BHEL IOCL based on GATE score? most of the above companies are now hiring through gate score. but still, they prescribe a minimum of 65% marks in btech. after getting a good rank in gate, you can be called for interview. as the number of seats is very less, hence only the top 1000 rankers in gate might be called for interview after which the candidates will be selected..... so all the best |

Re: Jobs in PSU like ONGC NTPC BHEL IOCL based on GATE score? Yes, from this year, all the jobs in the PSUs are based on the score of your GATE. Before this year, all the companies used to take separate exam of their own. But from this year, they have changed their pattern and all the jobs are given on the basis of the gate score card. You need to apply to all these companies with a separate form and then if you get a good score, then you'll be called for the personal interview and after clearing that, you'll be awarded with the job. If you wants to apply for job in PSU's like ONGC,NTPC,BHEL,IOCL , then you have to appear in a written test exam first, which is conducted by the PSU's individually.. But to apply for a job in IOCL you must have to appear in GATE exam, and you have to perform well in GATE, because IOCL does not conduct any written test exam , they hire students on the basis of GATE score.. good luck |

YES my dear frd it is true NTPC,ONGC,BHEL,SAIL etc PSU's recruiting next year with gate score.With your GATE 2012 Rank card you can directly opt for the interview conducted by these PSU's.All you have to do is get well prepared for GATE 2012 and secure a good rank below 1000 meanwhile register your gate hall ticket number in the above mentioned PSU official websites on or before JAN 2012..after gate results are announced they will make a merit list depending upon gate scores..if you are short listed then you can directly attend the Interview without any written test. |

Hi Yeah it is true that from this year, notifications have been released that some of the PSU's like NTPC, BHEL, ONGC etc would recruit candidates on the basis of the GATE score. This is done in order to increase the participation in the GATE exam all over the country. It is also done to ease the selection procedure of the PSU's and bring down the costs, which they had to bear to conduct their own separate examinations. The score serves as one of the base in the process of recruitment which is followed by Interviews and GDs. But you need to have a very good GATE score . For this you really have to work hard and practice a lot of questions. |
