See NET/SET exams are for lecturership and fellowships If you want to do a PhD and you clear NET exams with JRF than you will be given fellowship as per norms normally around 16000/- month You can also apply for project fellow posts in various institutes if you want to indulge yourself into research and development |

Implementing new aplications in software field and developing them is part of the course. MCA itself is a great achievement as a Master's degree course and there are huge job opportunities in the software market. So take the step as you like .. All the best! |

Re: NET/SET or PhD which is a better option after MCA? Hello friend, NET and SET are qualifying exam for lecturership whereas, Phd. is a reaearch programme. Talking about better option or the best option, I would suggest you to appear for NET examination and opt for JRF(Junior Research Fellowship) at the time of application. After qualifying as lecturer, you can go for Phd. and will receive allowances through UGC JRF. So, along with the eligiblity to be a lecturer, you will be able to get financial support for your Phd programme.
