Re: Which subject should I select in high secondary so as to write NDA exam? You should choose science stream with physics and mathematics subjects as it will make you eligible for NAVY ,ARMY and INDIAN AIR FORCE.
If you choose ART or COMMERCE than you will be eligible for ARMY only. you should read/learn the subjects thoroughly as detail knowledge is more important than any marks to apply in NDA examination. for joining DEFENSE SERVICES students appear for NDA exam. To apply in NDA students need to be 12th passed from recognized board or have equivalent qualification. There is no criteria of minimum marks but board should be recognized. and Student should be between 16.5 to 19 yrs old to apply for this exam. Selection Procedure The process of selecting cadets for the National Defence Academy is divided into three stages : • A written examination held by the Union Public Service Commission. Subject Code Duration Max Marks Mathematics 01 2 1/2 hours 300 General Ability 02 2 1/2 hours 600 900 • An interview by the Service Selection Board to assess a candidate's officer potentialities ( Intelligence and personality test ). • A medical examination by a Service Medical Board. (you should be physically fit and you be able to fulfill the minimum physical fitness requirement set by service medical board for students applied for NDA) |

You have to pass 12th from any recognized university . 2. age limit = 16 to 19 years Eligibility Criteria for NDA - Naval Wing & Air Force Wing: 1.You have to pass 12th from any recognized university with physics and math . 2. age limit = 16 to 19 years The appearing students are also can apply but within specified date by UPSC you have to submit your result of 12th. So it is clear that if you are interested in NDA then you have to select science. thank you |
