IFS Stands for Indian Forest Service and this Examination is Conducted Union Public Service Commission .

The Notification for this Examination May Published in Employment New paper and Official website of UPSC .

The IFS Examination Consist of Objective Type with Multiple Choice and This Examination is also having Negative Marking System .

So, you may loose your Mark from each Work wrong . So, please take while attend the Question .

And, If your Interested to apply for this IFS Examination than you have to satisfy the below eligibility Criteria,

To appear in this Examination than you should Complete Bachelor degree Course from recognized University.

You should having any one of the like, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science /Botany /Chemistry /Geology /Mathematics /Physics /Statistics /Zoology Etc.. in Bachelor degree Course.

If you studied any one of the Subject than Definitely applicable for this Examination .

Your age must be attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 year........

i am pursuing my bachelor's degree in architecture, and m in 4th year. The course duration is 5 yrs where in my last two semesters i need to undergo 6 months training and next 6 months i need to work on my thesis.. So basically my course will end in June 2013. So in this case can i appear for IFS examination this year 2012.

Hai,
IFS-Indian Forest Service exam was conducted by the UPSC(Union public service commission).

Eligibility criteria:

The candidate should be complete graduation from any recognised university with any one of the following subjects

Animal
Husbandry,
Chemistry,
Physics,
Biology,
Geology,
Veterinary
Science,
Botany,
mathematics and statistics.

Final year graduation students are also eligible for this exam.

Candidate must be a citizen of india.

Age criteria:

Age limits is 21years to 30years.

Selection procedure:

Written test,
Personal interview.

IFS stands for Indian Forest Service and this examination is conducted by the UPSC every year.


The last date of apply for this examination is 14-05-2012.


Eligibility criteria of IFS:

To apply for this examination you must have completed degree with one of the subject Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Botany, Geology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics , statistics and Zoology.

Final year appearing candidates are eligible for this exam.

The age limit of this examination between 21 to 30 years.


Exam pattern:

written test:

English- 300marks

general knowledge- 300marks

any two subject- 200marks

from the list of optionals.


The candidate cracked the written test are eligible for personnel interview.

For this year examination Notification was already Published and the Online Registrations was also started. The last date of apply for this examination is 14/May/2012 and the examination will be conducted soon on 14/July/2012.

To apply for this examination you must have completed your Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering from a recognised University.

Final year appearing candidates are also apply for this examination.

To apply for this examination, you must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, 2012.

The written examination consisting of the following papers:

~~ Paper I : General English ----------300 marks
~~ Paper II : General Knowledge -------300 marks
~~ Paper III : Any two subjects ------200 marks
~~ Paper IV : from the list of optional
~~ Paper V : Subjects selected by candidates
~~ Paper VI : Each subject will have two papers

All papers form III to VI will be of 200 Marks. Those who cracked the written examination are eligible for Personal Interview.
