Re: Number of times that a candidate can appear for GATE Exam? I would like to know if I attempted it thrice and my best score was in my first attempt, which score will be considered?? Will the best score be considered irrespective of the no. of attempts?? |

Re: Number of times that a candidate can appear for GATE Exam? Hi. GATE exam requires the following eligibility : 1. You should be a graduate from a recognized university. 2. You should have a minimum % of 60% 3. There is not limit as such for the GATE exam And once you give the exam, your score would be valid for 2 years. |

Re: Number of times that a candidate can appear for GATE Exam? There is no limitation for the candidates in appearing the GATE exam.So a candidate can appear in this exam as many times as he/she wants. |

Re: Number of times that a candidate can appear for GATE Exam? Hello, GATE - Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering. There is no limitation for attempts in gate exam. So you can attempt as many you can. You can attend in whatever age you want. You should complete your graduation. Best wishes |

Eligibility for GATE Exam: Bachelor degree holders in Engineering/Technology/Architecture Master degree holders in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology Final year student canalso apply for this exam. There are no limited number of attempts for this exam.you can apply many times for this exam. |

So but candidate possess minimum B.TECH degree then you are eligible for GATE exam.............. If you get a good rank in GATE then you are able to find a seat in IIT......... |

Re: Number of times that a candidate can appear for GATE Exam? There is no type of restriction for GATE exam, like age, Number of Attempts. There is only restriction is candidate should complete graduation degree in Engineering/Architecture/statistic/Computer application. |

Re: Number of times that a candidate can appear for GATE Exam? I think there is no limit for gate exam both in sense of number of attempts and age limit. GATE Examination Details: 1. The examination is a single paper of 3 hours duration and consists of 65 Questions with Maximum of 100 Marks. 2. You have to opt for your subject and study as per the syllabus mentioned in the GATE brochure. 3. The subjects of our interest are Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering., Electrical Engineering and Instrumentation Engineering. Other subjects are also available such as Mathematics, Physics, etc. 4. Results of qualified candidates in GATE will give All India Rank and indicate percentile score. For example, a percentile score of 99 means you are in the top 1% category of the candidates who appeared for GATE. 5. Candidates who get less than 70 percentile get no score card. 6. GATE scores are valid for 2 years. You may reappear the GATE exam if you are not satisfied with the earlier score and the new score (if better than the old one) will be used for admission purposes. |
