Categories to which recruitments are made through ESE are : 1.Civil Engineering 2.Mechanical Engineering 3.Electrical Engineering 4.Electronics & Tele-communication Engineering Tentative Dates: Engineering Services Exam Notifictaion-16.03.2013 Last Date of Applications-15.04.2013 Engineering Services Exam-28.06.2013 Eligibility For ESE : Age limit : General Category-21-30yrs on 1st August of year of exam OBC-21-33yrs SC/ST-21-35yrs Educational Qualification : 1.A degree in Engineering from a recognised university or equivalent. 2.M.Sc degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communications, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as special subjects also acceptable for certain Services/posts only. Candidates appearing at their engineering degree or equivalent examination are also eligible to compete. Exam Scheme : Paper I(Objective type)--General Ability Test---200 marks Paper II & III(Objective type)--Civil Engineering,Mechanical Engineering,Electrical Engineering,Electronics & Tele-communication Engineering---200 marks for each paper Paper IV & V(Conventional type)--Civil Engineering,Mechanical Engineering,Electrical Engineering,Electronics & Tele-communication Engineering---200 marks for each paper Total marks for written Exams----2000 marks Personality Test(Interview)----200 marks So you can prepare according to exam pattern and follow the syllabus given by UPSC. IES exam is conducted by UPSC (union public service commission) Eligibility Criteria for IES Should be completed degree or diploma in engineering & technology for following branch Mechanical Civil Engineering Electrical Engineering Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering nationality- Indian Age limit age should be 21 to 30 years age relaxation for OBC candidate 3 years age relaxation for SC/ST candidate 5 years |
