Re: Am I eligible for IIT JEE? SORRY for the inconvenience caused by my former post on this thread since i mistakenly clicked on the 'submit post' button. So the eligibility criteria for IITJEE is that:- 1)the candidate should be within 25 years of age 2)the candidate should have secured at least 60% in class XII 3)the candidate cannot appear for more than 2 times 4)the candidate can appear for the exam either on the year of appearing class XII exam or the year just after it. So if we calculate your marks(p-55,c-71,m-55) your percentage comes out to be 60.33% which means you are eligible provided you satisfy the other 3 criterias also. |

For your kind information I would like to say that, the minimum eligibility for the JEE (JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION)examination is , you must posses 12th degree from a recognized college. you know what, you would be eligible for this exam, if you have not failed in biology (theory),. because, you have gained the 60% in PCM group,but you are fail in biology,. after clearing of the biology, you can appear in this examination next years. the age limit for this examination is 17-25,. but there are only two consecutive years for attempting this exam are given to the candidates ,with passing of 12th. thank you!!!!! ~gamble~ |

Re: Am I eligible for IIT JEE? hello, sorry to inform you that but you are not eligible for IITJEE; eligibility for IITJEE is; -a candidate should be 12th from any stare board or central board with minimum 60% marks in aggregate and 60% marks in PCM your marks is about 60% in PCM but you because of your biology marks your aggregate is less than 60% so you are not eligible..... |

Re: Am I eligible for IIT JEE? As you told me that you are failed in class 12 so you are not eligible for IIT because for this you have to passed class 12th with 60% so dont loose hope and give the improvmental exam of that particular subject then you apply for IIT. |

Hi dear, Ellligibility criteria for applying in IIT-JEE are as follows : (1)atleast 60% aggregate in intermediate or equivalent with physics ,chemistry and maths compulsory (2)must be physically fit for studying in iits (3)your university should be recognized by government of india. you have allmost 61% in considering without biology.so if you have maths as main subject then you are elligible otherwise not. for further help please take the help of iit officials . But for now YOU ARE ELIGIBLE FOR WRITING IIT JEE exam 2011, because in PCM you are having 60.33% aggregate. After you Exam you must concentrate on BIOLOGY exam. Please write the complementary Exam for Biology Exam, clear it because No college will allow you to join in their college.You must be all clear with all the Theory Exam. Thanks |

Anyway as you know that the minimum percentage required for IIT JEE exam is 60% aggregate in all subjects with a minimum 60% in PCM. Now your cumulative PCM score is (55+71+55)/3 which gives 60.33%. So I think you have just made it. But you have not cleared your biology paper, so I suggest that after IIT-JEE, complete with your biology paper, as IIT's dont accept students who have not cleared their boards. |
