If you have done your graduation then you are eligible for civil services exam and the age factor must fulfill and it is as follows:

1.21-30yrs for General category

2.21-33 yrs for OBC category

3.21-35 yrs for SC/ST category.

You can participate IAS/IPS exam after completion of B.Pharma but you are not eligible to apply for the same after 12th.

To become an IAS/IPS officer one has to crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year.

The eligible candidate aspiring for IAS and IPS must be an Indian national having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.

yes, you can give the IAS/IPS entrance exam after the B.Pharm

Eligibility for the IAS/IPS entrance exam :

Educational Qualification :
1. you should be passed the graduation from any recognized university.
2. age must be between the 21 to 30 years.
AGe relaxation:
5 years for SC/ST.
3 years for the OBC.

3. Indian citizen.

selection process:
1. Written test
2. Interview
3. Physical fitness test

You need to be do it more preparation for the IAS/ IPS entrance exam because these are most toughest entrance exam has been conducted by the UPSC department

IAS (Indian Administrative Service) the exam is conducted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) once in a year.

Eligibity Criteria :
=> The candidate should be complete graduation from a recognised university.
=> Final year candidates are also eligible.
=> Age limity is 21 years to 30 years, 3 years age relaxation for the OBC candidates, 5 years age relaxation for the SC/ST candidates.
=> candidate should be a citizen of india.

Selection Procedure :
>> Preliminary exam

IAS stands for Indian Adminstration Service. IPS stands for Indian Police Service.


You can become IAS/IPS officer you can crack the UPSC civil service examination.


The examination conducted by the two stages:

preliminary exam

main examination.


After crack the preliminary exam then you attend for the interview.


Eligibility criteria:

the candidate should be complete graduation with any stream from recognized university.

The candidate should be a citizen of india.

The candidate age limit should be 21 to 30 years, the age relaxation for obc candidates is 3 years and the sc/st candidates is 3 years.

Both male and female candidates are eligible this exam.

~~ Preliminary examination
~~ Main examination

Preliminary examination is also called CSAT (Civil services aptitude test), You have to cracked the Preliminary examination first, Only then you are eligible to appeared for Main examination. Preliminary examination is Objective and there are 2 papers in this examination.

If you cracked Preliminary examination, then you are eligible for Main examination.

Main examination is Descriptive and you have to choose the Optional Subjects in Main examination on the basis of your Graduation.

Eligibility Criteria :

~~ You have to complete your Graduation in any discipline
~~ Final year appearing candidates are also eligible
~~ Age should between 21 to 30 years
~~ Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates

Those who fulfill the given Requirements are eligible for Civil services examination.

But you have to wait for the Next year Recruitment examination because for this year examination Notification was already Over and the examination will be conducted soon on 20/May/2012.

So, please complete your Graduation first and then you are eligible for this examination and for more information check official website of UPSC.
