 Yes, you can get a government job in banking sector, NET, etc. at your present age. But, I would like to suggest you that you should go for banking jobs. Banking examinations are conducted by SBI and IBPS. The eligibility criteria required for SBI and IBPS Clerk and PO are prescribed as below:- * Completion of graduation in any stream from any recognised college or university. * Age limit- 20-28 yrs for Clerk, 20-30 yrs for IBPS PO and 21-30 yrs for SBI PO. * Age relaxation- 3 yrs for OBC and 5 yrs for SC/ST contendors. * Nationality- Indian. AGE ELIGIBILITY :- 1.Candidates age should be in between 21-30 years for general category. For SC/ST the upper age relaxation is 5 years and for OBC the upper age relaxation is 3 years. So you can apply for govt, jobs.. All the best. |

Re: Can I get a government job at an age of 27? Hi Getting a government job anywhere in any company in India requires the candidate to go through the entrance examination. The selection is purely based on the merit, so by no means anyone can get in easily. However exceptions and approaches are always there. So as you say, your age is already 27, I doubt your getting a government job now. Though there are a lot of fields in the government sector too, but most recruitment in the government undertaken companies takes place between the ages 16.5 to 28. A relaxation of 5-7 years is always given to the SC/ST however. So it would be better for you if you try in the private sector itself, or abroad. Because government jobs are no more your cup of tea. Still you make keep an eye on the Employment news, as timely vacancies are published in it with all the required details. Re: Can I get a government job at an age of 27? yes why not clearing entrance examination is must for getting govt jobs. for apply in these examination you have to be Graduate from recognized university around 50% marks. age-between 21 to 28. govt time to time publish their vacancy in employment newspaper (comes weekly)and other newspapers. read them regularly. |
