this is not possible to answer your query as you haven’t mentioned your branch in which you are pursuing your engineering in.
the branches that are eligible for giving the Indian Engineering Services are
mechanical engineering
civil engineering
electrical engineering
electronics and communication engineering
if your branch is amongst the branches mentioned above, then you are eligible for giving the IEs exam. the age limit for giving the exam is that you should be under 21-30 years of age for giving the exam. a relaxation of 3 years is given to the students of obc category and a relaxation of 5 years is given to the candidates of sc/st category.

The acronym of IES is Indian Engineering Services.

The eligibility criteria required for IES examination are prescribed as below:-


* Completion of graduation in civil engineering/mechanical engineering/electronics and communication engineering/electrical engineering from any recognised university.

* Final year students of graduation are also eligible for IES examination.

* Age limit- 21-30 yrs.

* Age relaxation- 3 yrs for OBC and 5 yrs for SC/ST contendors.

IES Stands for Indian Engineering Services Examination .IES exam is conducted by UPSC in once time in year.IES examination is generally conducted in the month of June in every year.

If you have completed engineering degree from below given department then you are eligible for attend to IES Exam

1.Civil Engineering
2.Electrical Engineering
3.Mechanical engineering.
4.Electronics and Communication Engineering

So if you are from above mentioned department then you are applicable for IES exam otherwise you are not eligible for IES Exam .

The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate.

Final year student also eligible for IES exam .
