some one told me dat person is not allowed to give exam for 3 year...

Dear..

Yes There is a Negative Marking scheme in the prestigious exam of graduate Aptitude test for Engineers (GATE). The marking scheme is as follows :-

A) For All one mark question :-
1/3 Marks will be deducted if wrong answer

B) For All 2 Marks question
2/3 Marks will be deducted

C) For linked Marked Question only marks will be deducted for the first wrong answer only.

GATE is Graduate aptitude test in Engineering for Engineering Graduates.

Eligibility Criteria for GATE Exam-

(a) Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering/Technology or its equivalent.

(b) Bachelor’s degree holders in Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/Electronics/ followed by qualifications obtained through an examination conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE.

(c) Bachelor’s degree holders in Architecture/Design (for M Des program only)

(d) Master’s degree holders in Physics with Electronics/Instrumentation (for M Tech programs).

Yes , GATE exam have negative marking .The Negative marking schedule given below-

Question 1 to 25 : One mark each Question ( Negative marking 1/3rd )

Question 26 to 55 : Two mark each of each Question ( Negative marking 2/3rd )

Question 56 to 65 : General Aptitude ( total 15 marks ) ( Negative marking 1/3rd for One marks & 2/3rd for Two mark )

Question 56 to 60 : One mark each Question 61 to 65 Two mark each

GATE stands for the Graduate Aptitude test in Engineering.This examination is the basis of :

1.For pursuing master's degree in technology from IITs

2.GATE score is accepted as recruitment basis for most of the PSUs.

Yes there is negative marking in GATE examinations.Here is the pattern for it:


To be eligible for the GATE examinations:

You must be a holder of bachelor's degree in engineering/technology from arecognized university.

>>If you have master's degree in mathematics,computer science,statistics and computer applications then also you are eligible for this examinations.

This exam conduct for admission in M.tech.

Hai,




GATE-Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

GATE is post graduate entrance exam for the engineering candidates as well as masters degree candidates.

Eligibility criteria:-

The candidate should have to complete bachelor's degree in engineering/ technology/architecture from any of the recognised university.

Final year of the bachelor's degree candidates are also eligible for GATE exam but pre-final year of bachelor's degree candidates are not eligible.

OR

The candidate should be complete master's degree in science/computer application/mathematics/ statistics from any recognised university.

And who are in the final year masters degree also eligible.


For M-Des program candidate should be complete graduation in architecture/design from a recognised university.



There is no age limit to appear this exam.



In GATE exam Negative marking is part by part in the questions pattern given below.


Negative marking in GATE:-

1 / 3rd negative marks for questions 1 to 25,

2 / 3rd negative marks for questions 26 to 55,

One negative mark for questions 56 to 60,

2 negative marks for questions 61 to 65.

Yes, there is negative marking..
-1/3 marks for each 1 marks question and -2/3 marks for each 2 marks question..
