 No, to get a job in Indian Navy, English language is not necessary. If, you want to get a job in Indian Navy, then you will have to appear for NDA examination at +2 level otherwise for CDS examination at graduation level. The eligibility criteria required for the NDA examination are prescribed as below:- * Completion of 12th from any recognised board. * Age limit:- 16.5-19 yrs. * Marital status:- Single. * Sex:- Male. * Nationality:- Indian. * Physically and mentally fit. The eligibility criteria required for the CDS examination are prescribed as below:- * Completion of graduation in any discipline from any recognised college or university. * Age limit:- 19-22 yrs. * Marital status:- Single. * Sex:- Both male and female. * Nationality:- Indian. Friend If you want to join Indian Army as a officer then you have to know English. After passing 12th you can join Indian Army. For this you have to qualify the N.D.A exam. N.D.A. Exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice. Eligibility criteria for N.D.A exam:- > Pass 12th with any stream from recognized board. > Age limit should be above 16.5year and below 19 year. > Must be citizen of India > Medically fit (no major surgery) There are three stages of selection:- > Written Exam > Interview > Medical exam Written exam paper have:- > Maths > English > I.Q > General Studies etc ALL THE BEST! |

Re: Is English Language necessary to get a job in Indian Army? Dear Friend, No , English Language is not a necessary language if you want to get a job in Indian Army. To Join Indian Army , you have to fulfill the below mentioned necessities : a) You must have completed 12th in any stream from any recognized board. b) Your age should lie in between 16.5-19 years. c) No relaxation is given in upper age. d) There is no bar on number of attempts for this exam. e) You must have mentally and physically fit. So , You need not to worry thinking about that english is compulsory for NDA Exam through which you can join Indian Army. However , knowledge of English Language will help you a lot in SSB interview. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |

Re: Is English Language necessary to get a job in Indian Army? Hi English language is not that much necessary in qualifying exam, although it is necessary for you. You have to take Physics and mathematics. >> During the SSB,it is necessary to speak in english during the interview,they will tell you to speak in english, id you dont know anything about English, it is okay, you can speak in Hindi also. But as far as it is concerned,you have to improve your English. eg. If you are going for a GD round in SSB Interview,many of your mates are arguing in English, if you alone are speaking in Hindi, you wont be much influential in discussion. SO,the best possible during SSB is English, although you can speak in Hindi to your mates. Eligibilty for NDA: 1. 12th passed with 60% from recognised board. (PCM) 2.16.5 years to 19 years of age. |
