Eligibility Criteria : Age between 16 ½ to 19 yrs as of first day of the month in which course is due to commence Qualification 12th Class of 10+2 System of Education/Equivalent for Army and with Physics and Maths for AF/Navy Marital Status Unmarried Application to be Received by As per UPSC notification Likely SSB Date Sep to Oct and Jan to Apr Date Commencement of Training Jan and Jul Training Academy NDA , Khadakwasla, Pune Duration of Training 3 Yrs at NDA and 1 Yrs at IMA(For Army cadets)/ 3 Yrs at NDA and 1 Yrs at Naval Academy(For Naval cadets)/ 3 Yrs at NDA and 1 & 1/2 Yrs at AFA Hyderabad (For AF cadets) Cool.... |

Yes After 12th standard you are eligible for NDA exam .But you have to fulfill the below criteria. Educational Qualification: (i) For Army wing of National Defence Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University. (ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course at the Naval Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University. Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination. Age: Age should be between 16.5 to 19 years . Only unmarried male candidate are applicable.You must have citizenship of India. EXAM DATE FOR NDA EXAM:- Date of commencement of notification : 31-12-2011 Last date to receive completed application forms : 30-01-2012 Date of NDA I Exam : 15-04-2012 |

Eligibility Criteria IAF Pilot:- 1) Age:- 19 to 23 years 2) Marital Status :- Single 3) Nationality :- Indian 4) Gender :- This is applicable to both men and women. 5) Educational Qualifications :- Must be a graduate in any stream with Physics and Mathematics in 10+2. Eligibility for AFCAT exam:- For Flying branch:- 1.Candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade , but must have had maths and physics in 12th... 2.Age should be in between 19-23 years. 3.Candidate must be a citizen of India. 4.candidate must be unmarried male. 5.Candidate should be physically fit. These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill. So, go for it.. All the best. |

Re: Required Qualification to become a Pilot in Indian Air Force? To join in Indian Air force after +2 the best way is to clear an exam conducted by UPSC. The exam is named as NDA expanded as National Defense Academy exam. ELIGIBILITY for appearing in NDA exam is Your age must be above 16.5years and below 19years. You must have passed your 12th std with science as your stream with physics and maths as your major subjects. Thus your stepping stone is to appear in NDA exam. And before that you must know that you must have have chosen science as your stream to join in Navy or Air force. If not you can join in Indian Army through the same exam. |
