Re: Which stream is a best choice for me in B.Tech course? Look the choice of stream of Engineering should be something that you should decide upon your interest. For example if you want to design cars then choose automobile engineering. Similarly those who are interested in working for NASA/ISRO should take the Aerospace Engineering course. If you don't hav any particular area of interest. Then you should decide upon the ones that are most likely to get you good job. In my opinion Electronics and Communication Engineering is the course which will secure your future. Even in the time of recession, the demand of Electronics and Communication Engineers is not likely to dip. The reason is that such candidates are required in some of the strongest sectors in India. Let's see what are the job options for you upon completing the course. Public Sector Undertaking If you want job guarentee, then there is no better option then the Public Sector Undertakings. The jobs are offered by various PSU companies in India to the Electronics and Communications Engineer. The process of getting selected for the job includes a written test which is followed by Interview. But lately some PSU have decided against conducting written test. Instead, they prefer the candidate to appear for GATE entrance exam. Based of the performance in GATE exam, they select a candidate. List of PSU ISRO DRDO NTPC BHEL BEL ECIL SAIL NAIL GAIL ONGC IOCL HAL BPCL HPCL MTNL BSNL Information Technology Another good career option is job in IT sector.
