Those candidate have completed 12th standard with above 60% marks OR completed graduation degree , are applicable for SBI Clerk exam.

Your age should be in between 18 to 28 years old.Age relaxation is provide for 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates and 10 years in case of PWD candidates.

SBI Clerk Examination Eligibility Criteria:
  • To sit for the SBI Clerk Examination you need to be a higher secondary passed out candidates with not less than 60% of marks in aggregate.
  • If you opted to do diploma courses then also you will be considered eligible provided the degree is a regular one and has not been done in correspondence. The duration of the course should not be less than two years and you have to get the same percentage in this case too as mentioned above.
  • If you have completed your graduation in any discipline from a recognized university then you can give this exam. Since the minimum percentage to obtain has not been mentioned therefore on getting the pass marks you will be considered eligible.
  • The minimum age limit for giving this exam is 18 years. This rule is binding on all irrespective of what your category is. The upper age limit for general category candidates is 28 years.
  • There is age relaxation for the reserved category candidates. For SC/ST candidates there is an age relaxation of 5 years, for OBC candidates it is 3 years and for PWD candidates it is 10 years.
  • Selection Procedure basically includes:- 1) Written Examination and 2) Personal Interview. On getting the pass marks in the written exam you will get a call for the interview session depending on the vacancies available. The final decision will be taken by taking together the marks of both the written exam and personal interview.
  • It is basically an objective type test where questions of XII standard will come. If you are well versed with it then you will face little problem while answering them. For the exam you need to stress on the following areas: General Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability and Marketing Aptitude/Computer Awareness.
  • For each paper 40 marks has been allotted. You will get only two and a half hours to complete the whole paper. There is negative marking too. For every wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted from the original score.
