Re: Which is the best branch in engineering?

Every branch is good in their respective field .
For example in today's era is a IT era so on the demand of IT various IT companies are established .
To carry on their success they require software engineers , so they require CSE/ IT engineers .

For the development of various electronics items , various chips , company requires the Electronics & communication engineers so that they fulfill their business needs .
In government sector or in defence side like in army , navy , air force , ISRO , DRDO all of they require good ECE engineers so in short ECE engineers scope are in both government as well as in private sector also .

For the Core branches like Mechanical , Electrical and Civil , their requirement are remain in every era because these are the primary branches and whatever the company is , they require these branch engineers .

For example , for various automobile company to manufacture their product , they require good working staff and they fulfill this by recruiting Mechanical engineers .
In government sector also Mechanical engineer is required in various companies like BHEL , ONGC , SAIL , DRDO and so on .

For producing electricity , Electrical engineers are required .

For the construction , Civil Engineers are required .

In short each and every branch is good , one should select any one based on their interest .

Re: Which is the best branch in engineering?

wEll It totally depends upon you and your interest.
What may be best for one may be the worst for the other.
However, most of the engineering branches in India have a very great scope.

Depending upon your interest , you may choose whatever branch you like.
But I would suggest you to go for the Core Branches that are

Electrical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
And Civil Engineering

Demand of engineers from this field is never hit by the recession.

How ever, vacancies are quiet less.
You may also choose any other from this such as

Computer Science And Engineering
Information Technology
Electronics And Communication
Manufacturing Technology
Instrumentation And Control

Chose The One That Suits YOur interest.

All The Best

Re: Which is the best branch in engineering?

it depends upon your ambitio in life

if you are good at programming and want to become a software engineer, then you can choose cs/it. the packages offered to cs/it students in good companies are mind blowing and you can get the highest packages in these branches

else if you are inclined towards government jobs and psu's, then you can go for mechanical, civil and electrical. these branches are evergreen branches and future is secured in these branches

else if you are inclined towards both software and core sector, then you can chose ece. this branch is in great demand nowadays. you wont go jobless after selecting ece.

you can also choose chemical engg. as it has great scope nowadays and it has bright future in gate exam......

the choice is yours.....
