IIT stands for Indian Institute of Technology and to take admission in IIT one has to crack IIT JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) after 12th from Science stream The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subject of studies with 60% marks from a recognised Board, can apply for IIT. The admission is based on the Score secured through IIT JEE.. |

The eligible candidate must be an Indian national having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with 60% marks from a recognised University above 17 years of age is eligible to apply for IIT JEE. The admission to IIT is conducted basing on mark scored through IIT JEE exam. |

The candidate must have a 4-year B.Tech./B.E. degree in any engineering discipline or a MSc./MCA degree in a computer-science related area, and have an excellent academic record. The candidate should have demonstrated adequate background in computer science itself (GATE in CS/IT), or else with extensive experience in computing (for part-time students). |
